Primeiras Impressões de uma Paisagem / First Impressions of a Landscape is an installation created by João Nisa for the space of the Solar – Cinematic Art Gallery (Vila do Conde, Portugal) using a selection of material from the film with the same name, currently in its finishing process. Shot inside the Águas Livres Aqueduct, on the outskirts of Lisbon, the project is based on the use of a stretch of that architectonic structure as a series of camera obscura devices, in order to develop a study of the surrounding landscape, mediated by the specific way the images are produced.
