  • Dream Dance: The Art of Ed Emshwiller

    Dream Dance: The Art of Ed Emshwiller is the first major monographic exhibition of the artist's groundbreaking work in film, video, and visual art. With an immensely diverse body of creative work, Ed Emshwiller (1925-90) is perhaps one of the most significant yet under-recognized artists of the latter half of the 20th century. Emshwiller's career spanned abstract expressionist painting, commercial illustration, film, video and computer art, and collaborations with dancers, choreographers, and composers.

  • Call for Submissions - 28th Artifact Film Festival

    The Artifact Small Format Film Festival (formerly the $100 Film Festival) is a celluloid-focused film festival based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

    Artifact is one of only a handful of festivals worldwide that exhibit EXCLUSIVELY on small-format film (16mm and Super 8). We are proud to be among the select few that continue to keep this unique medium alive, and to draw celluloid lovers to Calgary each year! 

    Our festival has free entry. If selected, artists will be paid a screening fee according to the IMAA fee schedule.
