The New Film Underground is back for it's fifth showcase of Los Angeles based alternative and experimental filmmaking. We find filmmakers who break convention and work with low budgets, and share their work with an open minded audience of filmmakers and film lovers. Send us all your wildest, weirdest and most experimental shorts for a chance to be included in our Nov. 12th cinema showcase.

This screening is hosted by Take Your Medicine and Smile Productions and will feature a collection of surreal and experimental short films by the new wave of underground filmmakers. Videoart.Ist International Video Art Screening Program in Turkey, also known as Efes Video Arts Screenings and the program is nomadic event. We seek experimental and conceptual video art works and experimental short films including experimental narrative and experimental documentary. Screenings are held at different times and places. An evening of real-time cartographic improvisations using projected, manipulated digital maps by Eric Theise, directed and accompanied by upright & electric bassist Liz Draper. Expect a visual wash of street grids, land masses, bodies of water, and curiosities from the built environment. Saturated colors and subtle tints. Sounds symphonic and serrated. The flicker film as wayfinding device. Orphaned information and untethered symbology.
