Sight/Geist - Film & Performance Open Call for Emerging NYC Artists

Emerging NYC-based artists are invited to submit to the Rubin Foundation's film and performance open call for our fourth season of Sight/Geist at The 8th Floor. Proposals with an experimental and/or pedagogical approach to our mission of art and social justice will be accepted through July 2 for fall-winter 2024-25 programming. It is free to submit and selected artists receive stipends.

Underneath the Floorboards 10th Edition Submissions Open

Submissions for the 10th edition of Underneath the Floorboards are now open.

For our 10th Edition we will be continue our online event, which will be screened for a two weeks by our online platform: https://www.visualcontainer.tv/ which screens worldwide and got over ten thousand views last time around, and this time we're aiming for more.

New Work by Dominic Angerame

An integral part of the Bay Area avant-garde film scene since the 1970s, Dominic Angerame has directed more than 35 films (and counting) over the course of his career, and has also taught at the San Francisco Art Institute, University of California, Berkeley, New College of San Francisco, Osher Life Long Learning Center, and the University of Nevada at Reno, as well as the Academy of Art University. From 1980-2012, he was the Executive Director of Canyon Cinema, where he played an invaluable role in helping to distribute, promote, and preserve experimental cinema.

7th Moinho Cine Fest

Moinho Cine Fest is an international film festival who pays screening fees and prize money.
The 7th edition will take place in March and/or in April 2025 Matosinhos, Portugal.
You can submit yours short, micro and/or nano film unreleased or premiered from January 2023 (including) through FilmFreeway between June 1 and December 31.
