Sunday (June 16th) Filmhaus Kino, Maybachstrasse 111, Cologne (Germany)
4pm Eco-Development Workshop with expired Kodachrome 40 (free entry)
8pm Short Film Screening (projected digital and on Super-8)

"I absorb the weird and wonderful from the world, chew it all up and spit it out again," writes Dagie Brundert about her artistic work. In her Super8 films, she balances the relationships between the outer world and inner perception, the petty bourgeois and fantastic spheres, parallel universes and memories from her childhood. The short films combine observation, experiment and diary. An always fresh and anarchic approach meets philosophical contemplation.

Filmmaker and pinhole photographer Dagie Brundert was born in 1962, has lived in Berlin since 1986 and discovered filming on Super8 in 1988. Her extensive oeuvre comprises almost two hundred short films and was honored with the Life Time Achievement Award for Super8-Film at the Images Film Festival Toronto and the Weiterstadt Film Festival. Her experimental films have been presented at international film festivals, including the International Film Festival Rotterdam and Kurzfilmtage Oberhausen.

She is considered an expert in the field of analog film development, especially of expired films and with bio-based film developers, which she teaches at art schools and in numerous publications. In the 90min program, some of her films will be projected on Super8 film.

The Film auf Film event offers filmmakers working with analog material the opportunity to project their works in analog form and to exchange ideas about their working methods.
