Since October 2014, Light Cone hosts artist residencies dedicated to the video-based post-production of films that belong to the realm of experimental cinema, with the aim of supporting approximately 10 projects per year. The residency is adapted to the workflow of experimental filmmakers, and, therefore, eligibility criteria are deliberately kept open. Short, medium, as well as feature-length films are welcome, on the condition that shooting is completed and editing is already advanced, with or without the backing of an independent production company.
Digital media artists, Dyson & Womack are accepting submissions for the Public Art CA digital media call for entries. Public Art CA is a contemporary art collection commissioned for the California Natural Resources Agency (CNRA) and the California Health and Human Services (CHHS) new buildings in downtown Sacramento.
For its 12th edition, which will be held between May 28 and June 6, (S8) Mostra Internacional de Cinema Periférico returns to the movie theaters with renewed strength while keeping a dual online/on-site format, offering, for another year, a comprehensive selection of online contents devoted to contribute to the dissemination of cinema. For 2021, the festival has curated a program that brings together some of the most stimulating names in the contemporary scene of experimental cinema.

IPFF is on the path towards its second edition in 2021. Once again, we will celebrate short portrait cinema, independent filmmaking and art which explores, educates and transforms.
A portrait is an image heavy with meaning. Multilayered and multifaceted, it has a visual, psychological, material, emotional and spiritual dimension.
We are currently seeking horror films for our Experimental Short Films Showcase - anything along the lines of Lynch's early shorts, Anger's demonic summonings, or Mandico's surreal tales, deconstructed images of terror, film-induced nightmares.
Altered Images is a spontaneous space for experimental film production, videoart, installations and live music. The festival aims to showcase silent or sound movies that are open to a sound reinterpretation. Our showcase is open to artists all around the world whose works have an experimental and innovative character.
