Rose Lowder (Lima 1941) is a French-Peruvian artist and filmmaker. In focussing her research on visual perception in relation to the cinematographic means of expression, Lowder concentrates on the different ways one can modify the graphic and photographic visual features of the image as it transforms in time. This work led her to compose the image in the camera, usually by interweaving the frames as the film strip passes the lens several times.

Kirk Tougas is a noted experimental film artist, director of photography, producer, director, curator, and founder of the Pacific Cinematheque in Vancouver, Canada.

With over 250 professional credits, he is recognized as one of Canada’s preeminent feature documentary cinematographers. Representing many cultural, anthropological, social, and political themes, these films have been broadcast on every major network and have garnered more than 80 festival awards, including Emmy and Peabody awards, and 13 awards and nominations from the Canadian Academy of Cinema.

László Moholy-Nagy (Hungary, July 20, 1895 – November 24, 1946) was a Hungarian painter and photographer as well as a professor in the Bauhaus school. He was highly influenced by constructivism and a strong advocate of the integration of technology and industry into the arts. A New York Times article called him “relentlessly experimental” because of his pioneering work in painting, drawing, photography, collage, sculpture, film, theater, and writing.
