25 FPS Festival is calling for entries for its 20th edition with the standard deadline on 31st of May 2024. 25 FPS Festival screens independent and non-commercial films which innovatively explore the possibilities of cinematic language, narration and the medium itself, cross film types and genres and broaden the notion of film as art. It promotes expressive original concepts, progresses in terms of theme, idea and aesthetics, as well as works that perpetuate the tradition of avant-garde and experimental film.

The festival is organised by Collectif Jeune Cinéma every year. CJC - Collectif Jeune Cinéma - was founded in 1971 following the New York Filmmakers's Cooperative footsteps. CJC is a cooperative for distribution with the aim to promote visual and cinematic experimental practices.
This session focuses exclusively on twenty films by the San Francisco filmmaker Michael Rudnick. His work, practically unseen in Europe, combines visual art in movement, kinetic sculpture and trompe l'oeil. With their small, enigmatic but audacious gestures, both tender and festive, his films return to the infancy of art.
