Cinema Parenthèse and iMAL present the program Gunvor Nelson - Collage Films. Nelson was born in 1931 in Stockholm, but grew up in the small town of Kristinehamn, Sweden. After studying art in Stockholm, she moved to San Francisco in 1953 where she studied and later taught art and film at San Francisco State University (1969–70) and the San Francisco Art Institute (1970–1992).
Witness this collection of wild, weird, transgressive and experimental short films by A new wave of Local underground filmmakers at the seventh NFU group show. It will be a night of new surrealist, expressionist and abstract shorts where you can meet and discover the next David Lynch or Maya Deren. Come to LA's Arts District to find out what's been brewing in Hollywood's dark dark shadow.

This exhibition is a retrospective of experimental films made by Bob Georgeson between 2012-2023. Mainly made from found footage and featuring collaborations with artists, musicians and dancers including emptywhale, The Implicit Order, Calling Sister Midnight, Milica Raicevic, Hyaena Fierling, DJ earWIG, Alina Stefan, Griet Menschaert, Cullah, Alessio Lottero, Denitsa Dikova, Hidden Tribe, aPatchofNettles and others. The 38 films are presented in a non-linear format on The Wrong TV, an offshoot of The Wrong Biennale, a global celebration of digital arts.
