Traverse Vidéo has launched a call for projects (experimental video, art installations, photography and performances) for its 21st edition which will be held in March 2018 in Toulouse (France). This year's theme is The experimental is already begun?

It is a false question since you are composing experimental work, working on it, desiring it but it’s a question reiterated by those to whom we want to make discover it, to share it, to make love it.

An affirmation that plays and that will cause some to think of Lemaître and of echoes of his Le film est déjà commencé? Cinematographic action to break the boundaries of the screen and of filmmaking. How to refuse this echo since the program wants to recognize seminal works of the experimental and to return to the sources but also retain proposals that worry about the material, the medium, who think the work in its materiality.

Without adoration of the past but in its knowledge, send us works that prove the vitality, the tenacity of those who work in the experimental.

Then the form makes sense.

At the request of faithful artists, the deadline of the Call for entries (experimental cinema, video art, art installations, performancies and photography) for Traverse Vidéo 2018 is extended until October 31, 2017 (last deadline).

* Entries are accepted in french, english, spanish or italian.

Traverse Vidéo will be held March 7 - 31, 2018 in several cultural places in Toulouse (France) such as the Cinémathèque of Toulouse, ABC, UGC and Le Cratère cinemas, the Carmelites chapel and the Les Abattoirs museum, the Goethe Institut and also Prep'Art and Ozennes high-school.
