    Submissions now open for Screener Short Films 3rd Edition

    We are a Hackney (London) based Short films night. We are willing to showcase the selected shorts on a venue in East London on the 11th of February 2022.

    We are looking for short films ( max 30 min length). We are accepting four major categories, including experimental short films as one of them. 

    • Early Bird Deadline 15th of October
    • Regular Deadline 15th of December
    • Late Deadline 20th of January 2022.

  • Alternative Film Video 2021 Research Forum

    Alternative Film Video 2021 will take place from 8-12 December 2021 at Students’ City Cultural Center in Belgrade. The Alternative Research Forum, scheduled on 10 December 2021, will be organised as a hybrid online event, offering a focussed, intimate environment in which to share thoughts and promote exchange of ideas. The organisers of the Alternative Research Forum invite academics, artists, curators, writers and researchers of all types to submit proposals for presentations on the topic of the Non-Aligned Movement and moving images.

    Submissions for the 2022 International Short Film Festival Oberhausen are now open! The 68th edition will take place from 30 April to 9 May 2022 and is now inviting submissions for its 2022 competitions, both on-site and online. International and German short film productions can now be submitted for the International Competition, the International Online Competition, the German Competition, the German Online Competition, the Children's and Youth Film Competition and the NRW Competition.

  • Alchemy Film and Moving Image Festival 2022

    The twelfth edition of Alchemy Film and Moving Image Festival will take place 28 April – 2 May 2022.

    Alchemy Film & Arts’ flagship event is dedicated to experimental film and artists’ moving image. We screen experimental shorts and feature-length works in cinemas and other spaces in Hawick, and host expanded cinema performances, discussion events, multi-channel installations, walks and other group activities.
