The WNDX Festival of Moving Image is now accepting submissions for its 19th edition, to be held Oct 2-6, 2024.
Based in Winnipeg, Canada, the WNDX Festival of Moving Image is a five-day experimental film festival held yearly in early October. WNDX has been lovingly cared for by Winnipeg and prairie-region filmmakers and curators since 2005.
WNDX predominantly programs short films through this open call for submissions.
WNDX will also consider longer films, film performance and moving image installations through this open call for submissions, but due to limited programming slots, these are less likely to be selected in comparison to short films.
- As always, there will be no submission fees
- We will consider works from 2023 and 2024
- Our preference for screening copies is DCP or film print
- Canadian prairie region (Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta) premieres will receive preference
- Results will be announced to filmmakers/artists/distributors no later than August 15, 2024
- Screened filmmakers/artists will be provided an artist fee according to the IMAA rate card
The WNDX Festival of Moving Image programs experimental and innovative forms. We do not program conventional dramas, documentaries, music videos or TV-style work, among other conventional forms.
The deadline for submissions is: April 15, 2024
