La carta filmada puede adoptar la forma de la dedicatoria, la canción, la ofrenda, la celebración, la postal. «Correspondencias: películas como cartas», el ciclo de Punto de Vista 2018, parte de la idea de que, en el cine, el intercambio epistolar no tiene por qué ser enviado, sino que, además, admite que el material de la película-carta se filme sin un destinatario en mente.
Eugeni Bonet (Barcelona, 1954) es especialista en cine de vanguardia, videocreación y artes electrónicas. Desde mediados de los años setenta trabaja estas disciplinas tanto desde una dimensión teórica com una óptica práctica. A lo largo de su dilatada trayectoria ha intercalado la programación, el comisariado y la escritura –cinema experimental español, inicios del videoarte, cine calculado, (des)montaje fílmico, cine letrista, etc.– con la realización de films y vídeos propios.
Born in Tokyo Sylvia Schedelbauer first moved to Berlin in 1993, where she has been based since. She studied at the University of Arts Berlin (with Katharina Sieverding). Her films negotiate the space between broader historical narratives and personal, psychological realms mainly through poetic manipulations of found and archival footage.

“The films in this program represent a number of different stylistic tendencies in filmmaking which coexisted during the 1980s, in an environment where films were screened in clubs along with performances and live music, and often on the same night. The fluidity of performers, filmmakers, and musicians collaborating created a particularly vibrant and unique element of nightlife.

MILOTI Program is a curated film/video screening that showcases moving image artists engaging Ohio that come together to screen contemporary film/video projects, eat tacos, have a drink, and find community.
