Silent Territory: 24th Edition Casablanca International Video Art Festival Morocco
Video art can be apprehended as a territory in constant redefinition. The international selection of the FIAV 2018 "Silent Territory" questions the boundary (the path that borders between two borders), the zone, the interval, the boundary, the route, the dam, the end, the point of separation and the lines demarcation between multicultural societies. The videos of the selection pose several questions: but what is a territory? Is it unlimited like the horizon?

WNDX seeks new Canadian and international films and videos for our next edition, to be held in October 2018. WNDX pays special attention to the most innovative and ground-breaking works created by moving image artists. In the past, WNDX has featured spotlights on Crispin Glover, Martha Colburn, Richard Tuohy, Guy Maddin, Joyce Wieland, George Kuchar, Steve Reinke, Barbara Sternberg, Phil Hoffman, John Price and Michael Snow, a well as the work of the Loop Collective.
The deadline for submissions for Open City Documentary Festival 2018 is May 7th. We're looking for the most exciting and innovative non-fiction storytelling in short, mid-length and feature length documentaries as well as cross-platform projects.
Kort Geknipt (“Cut Short) – later called De Andere Film (“The Other Film)– was a television programme on Belgian television from 1969 until 1976, which showed new, innovative, international, experimental and marginal productions in order to rebel against dominant mainstream narrative cinema. Art Cinema OFFoff revives this programme in honour of this idiosyncratic programme which never eschewed controversy.
