La Tate Modern Gallery de Londres acogerá una retrospectiva de la obra de Robert Beavers del 2 al 35 de Febrero. Beavers (EEUU, 1949) emigró a Europa a finales de los sesenta con su compañero  Gregory Markopoulos, y su obra apenas ha podido ser vista hasta recientemente. Los films de Beavers "son a la vez líricos y rigurosos, sensuales y complejos. Mientras transmiten su respuesta a los paisajes, la arquitectura y las tradiciones de los países mediterráneos y alpinos donde fueron filmados, también incorporan profundos temas personales y estéticos."

La retrospectivase divide en dos series de programas: la serie To the winged distance, que proyectará obras escogidas, y la serie My Hand Outstretched to the Winged Distance and Sightless Measure series con el ciclo completo de 18 films del  mismo nombre. Beavers presentará el priemr programa (2 de Febrero) y matendrá una charla con el crítico  P.Adams Sitney (Visionary Film) el 4 de Febrero, quien además presentará la proyección de ese día. 

Esta retrospectiva está comsiariada por Mark Webber.
