The 13th edition of OneTake Film Festival will be taking place from 13 to 15 October 2023 in Zagreb, Croatia.
Janos Kis avant-garde filmmaker short experimental unspoken film UNBEARABLE LIGHTNESS OF BEING will be screened in a special program outside competition highlighting the use of still frame in one single take films.
The film was previously screened in 2020 at Experimental Forum in Los Angeles.

Ten experimental films made in Argentina throughout the last ten years. From epistolary exchanges to historical memory, from the structural analysis of a place to its hallucinated revisitation, they reflect a profound image of a distant land. The films in this programme summarise a near past, and are the outcome of a common battle. In uncertain times, these films also appear as a luminous auspice for what cinema will become.

Open your ears, steady your gaze, relax your body, and free your mind as Manon de Boer guides you through a meditation on creativity. Four artists—a dancer, a performance artist, a musician, and an actor—ponder extracts from psychoanalyst Marion Milner’s An Experiment in Leisure (1937) and On Not Being Able to Paint (1950). There’s a Norwegian seascape to contemplate, whose soundwaves will penetrate the artists’ workspaces inducing a state of mental flow somewhere between presence and absence.
