The Moving Image Salon is a monthly gathering in London for artists working in the fields of moving image and experimental filmmaking. It is a relaxed and open space for conversation and exchange about contemporary moving image practices, a networking event and critical forum.
“The subject(s) of my films are women through my own self-inscription into texts and narratives about female characters, experience and as subjects. The predominant feeling is of loss, longing and sadness. The subjective voice and narrative combines with the moving image as a means of enabling a feminine perspective.”
The second half of the Moving Image Salon is an open platform for artists to introduce themselves and their work and engage in discussion about contemporary moving image practices. If you are an artist wishing to present something please arrive early to sign up, spaces for presenting will be limited. Please bring videos on a USB drive, maximum runtime 10 mins.
All Moving Image Salon events are free but booking is essential.
