On the occasion of the release of its third issue, Les Saisons Cinema Journal and the Yvon Lambert Bookshop invite the filmmaker Bruno Delgado Ramo. He will present several of his creations in situ around the optical origins of cinema and the medium of film, inviting the public to discover the traditionally invisible mechanisms of cinematographic projection. Bruno Delgado Ramo will conduct a double super 8 projection in person in the bookshop space. The first will be a performance made twice during the evening (6:30 & 7:30 pm) and the second - an installation specially designed for the bookshop window.

Screening performance, 26’
WORK TO GET DONE
super8, 26’, 18fps, magnetic sound
The super8 reels that comprise the film are records of places while they are being made: a number of street construction sites, some artist studios and other house spaces in which a process and a state of incompleteness takes place. In line with all these matters, the film is shown under construction and the magnetic soundtrack is added on-site just before the screening, making use of whatever is found in the bookshop.

Film-environment, 7’
FRAME MANOEUVRES
projection environment adapted to Librairie Yvon Lambert’s windows, super8 on loop, 18fps, magnetic sound, fan, red and translucent plastic sheets, rectangular mirror.
This film-based arrangement investigates the port pilotage area (where only the port pilot is sufficiently skilled at manoeuvring) and the film frame taken both as demarcated surfaces devoted to manoeuvring, to precise naval and cinematographic procedures.
