Janos Kis is an avantgarde filmmaker, photographer. He makes experimental contemporary contemplative films, mostly based on unexpected occasions of the certain time. He's observational style emphasizes extreme long takes, minimalism with no narrative. He uses no camera movement or/and long tracking shots. The stories he frames are like visual poetry, carefully framed moving images with unexpected occasions on certain locations. All his films have beginning, middle and end. To understand the films need to slow down and watch from the beginning until the end. The films open up a space for theoretical reconsideration on under-explored aspects of temporarily and beyond.
