LUX Associate Artists Programme 2011/12
Call for applications open

LUX is pleased to announce the call for applications for the fifth year of the LUX Associate Artists Programme.

The LUX Associate Artists Programme (AAP) is a unique 12 month post-academic programme for UK-based artists working with the moving image who have graduated in the past five years . It aims to provide an intensive course of development focused on critical discourse, extending to the practical and infrastructural issues that present challenges for artists working with the medium through seminars, mentorship and a final funded public project. The programme is lead by Ian White, writer, curator and artist and is generously funded by The Leverhulme Trust.

The programme is managed and facilitated by LUX, an arts agency for the support and promotion of artists working with the moving image.

$100 Film Festival - 2012 Call for Submissions
Deadline for Entries:  December 1, 2011.

The Calgary Society of Independent Filmmakers is pleased to present the annual $100 Film Festival from March 1-3, 2012.  The festival embodies the spirit of low-budget, independent filmmaking and brings the experience of projected celluloid to our audience by only screening film prints.  It is the only competitive festival in Canada that screens exclusively on Super 8 and 16mm film. The $100 Film Festival does not charge any entrance fees and pays artist honorariums for all films selected for the festival. - Must provide a 16mm or Super 8 film print for screening.

Images Festival 2012: On Screen Film + Video
Deadline Monday October 17th, 2011

Images is now accepting film and video submissions for consideration for the ON SCREEN program at the 2012 Festival. Please note we have two separate calls up concurrently! The OFF SCREEN call is for projects that are to be presented in a gallery, live context, online, or other new media capacity and this ON SCREEN call is for single channel films and videos to be presented in a cinema.

Please download and read the complete guidelines, then fill out the online submission form and get back to your editing station, the deadlines will be here before you know it!

Artist fees (screening fees) paid for all works presented!!

REGULAR deadline date: October 17th, 2011 (postmark)
LATE deadline date: November 14th, 2011

Submission results will be sent out by email in mid-February, 2012.

50th Ann Arbor Film Festival - Call For Entries now open

Standard Deadline - October 3, 2011

The Ann Arbor Film Festival is now accepting submissions for its 50th season. We are seeking recent independent and experimental works (films completed no earlier than 2010) that advance the art form of film. We consider all genres, lengths, styles and formats, including 16mm, 35mm, Super-8mm, video and HD video.

The 50th AAFF will provide at least $18,000 in cash awards to more than 20 filmmakers, serves as a qualifying festival for Academy Award® nomimation in the short film category and provides touring opportunities for select filmmakers. The 50th Festival takes place March 27 - April 1, 2012 in downtown Ann Arbor, MI.
