Transient Visions: Festival of the Moving Image was established in 2013. It celebrates the cutting edge art of the moving image through screenings, exhibitions, performances, and other festival events, providing a cultural experience that enriches the local community. The Festival works as a venue to meet artists in this region and beyond, exchanging and sharing ideas, while developing mutual relationship.

The Festival accepts entries of works completed in 2020 and 2021. We accept only links to online videos for submission. Please provide us a link to your video, along with a password if needed. Our screening format is QuickTime file (mov, h.264, 1920 x 1080 -- if your screening material is different, we may convert it to this format). If the original language is not English, please provide the work with English subtitles.

Last year, we held the event virtually on Vimeo due to the pandemic. We hope to hold an in-person event this year, and we will make a final decision during the summer.

The entry fee is US$10. However, we will waive the fee for those who have shown work at the previous edition of Transient Visions – if you are one of these filmmakers, please contact us at <[email protected]> so that we will provide you a waiver code.
