Open Call for: Peripheries, an experimental film/video happening taking place in Boston, Massachusetts that seeks to create an environment for experimental media artists to present radical new works. Peripheries is a non-competitive festival that pays every accepted artist a screening fee.

All works created from 2019 to today* will be considered, regardless of duration. A small entry fee is charged. The purpose of this is not to commodify or exclude, but to allow us to provide a screening fee for those works accepted into the festival, the size of which is dependent upon the number of submissions received.

No preference will be held based on duration or medium. Presently, we are without the capacity to screen films on film, though we hope this is to change in the near future. Submissions may be sent through our website with a Vimeo link, or through our FilmFreeway page.

Peripheries also seeks to present screenings of collected works by individual artists. Proposals are accepted and may be started by emailing us at [email protected]
