Experimental Film and Video Festival in Seoul (EXiS) 20th edition is looking for entries.

Experimental Film and Video Festival in Seoul, a.k.a EXiS, was founded in 2004 by Moving Image Forum in order to screen experimental films and contemporary moving images that explore the unknown forms and territories of cinema. We value artists’ films made with an original vision that take challenges and aesthetic adventures. We are one of the few places in Asia that still screen works of many important artists who work with celluloid film.

Festival DatesThe 20th edition of EXiS will take place from 20 – 27 July 2023.

Eligibility(a) Films eligible for entry must be completed in 2021 – 2023.(b) The deadline for submission is 1 March 2023.(c) No entry fee is required. No premiere policy is required; however, a premiere status needs to be acknowledged.(d) Please complete the online entry form and provide an online screener. Once you have submitted the entry, an auto-confirmation email will be sent. Please contact us if you have not received an auto-confirmation email.(e) Please make sure the link and password for an online screener remain valid until the shortlists are announced and do not change the URL or password after submitting.(f) Non-English or Non-Korean speaking films must have English subtitles.(g) The applicant will guarantee to have secured clearance from the copyright holders of any copyrighted materials included within the submitted film and any photographs submitted relating to the film for all purposes for which the materials will be used such as screening, promotion, and publications. EXiS bears no responsibility for any damages or costs due to any illegal acts or violation of copyright.(h) By submitting to the competition, the applicant agrees to all the rules and regulations of EXiS entry guidelines.
