The Poetry of Mixed Emotions (filmed at La Villa Santo Sospir in St. Jean Cap Ferrat, France) is a very long video poem with the idea of looking "between halls of time" with the idea being that we can still feel the presence of those that have passed. There a drop of water that repeats, which sounds like a clock ticking, intended to provide what would be the silence of being in a room all to one's self as time "dripped past". Also the footage is slowed and set such that it ticks-past as well viewing all of the incredible ambience in La Villa Santo Sospir. This is a very long film that requires a lot of patience to sit through it but you are reward by the long winding poem that streams across the screen as the movie is watched. I have never screened this fim presuming it would be too difficult for most people to watch and that it seems that the concpept would go over most people's head, but maybe not.
