ACUD MACHT NEU is an art collective based in Berlin. In 2014, the initiative saved the Kunsthaus ACUD from bankruptcy and has since set in motion interdisciplinary projects on the intersection of art, music, performance and digital media in their spaces Studio, Club and Gallery.

    FRACTO Experimental Film Encounter announces its sixth edition and invites audiences to immerse themselves in 3 days of film screenings, talks and performances, taking place between the 27th and the 29th of May 2022 at Kunsthaus ACUD, in Berlin Mitte. 

    This year, FRACTO will present forty-one films curated into six programs, along with two film performances and a workshop.

    FRACTO Experimental Film Encounter announces its fifth edition and invites Berlin audiences to immerse themselves in 4 days of film screenings, talks and performances, taking place between the 21st and the 24th of October 2021 at Kunsthaus ACUD, in Berlin Mitte. 

    The underlying theme of the 2021 edition is Appropriation, where we explore how our contemporary realities and their environment are lensed, configured, contextualised and re-contextualised.

  • Aldo Tambellini - The Black TV Project (1969-2019)

    On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Aldo Tambellini’s legendary Black TV, the multimedia pioneer presents a new installation realized by re-editing hundreds of hours of his experimental mixed-media works in a site-specific Electromedia environment. Born of a complex, stratified experience, in which the images became a further subject in the critical investigation of the American social and political reality, Black TV is a monumental operation of aesthetic synthesis of the Intermedia era.

  • Fracto: Expanded Painlevé

    The special programme “Expanded Painlevé”, conceived with guest curator Federico Rossin, combines the films of Jean Painlevé, surrealist poet of wildlife, with those by filmmakers from the American and European avant-garde who have pursued different modes of openness to the animal world.

  • Fracto Experimental Film Encounter 2019

    Between May 23rd and May 26th the third edition of the Experimental Film Encounter Fracto is taking place at Kunsthaus ACUD in Berlin-Mitte. The main programme gathers more than 70 film and video works by artists and filmmakers selected from an international open call that has received more than 800 submissions. The selection will be presented in a series of curated programmes. Some of the filmmakers will be present to talk about their work. The screening program will be supplemented by live-performances, workshops and concerts at ACUD Club and Studio.
