La noche en blanco Call for proposals Deadline: July 6, 2010
As in the last edition of La noche en blanco, the Curatorial Program, in which already Basurama works, is the centerpiece of the evening and aims to transform the main streets and squares of Madrid by the art. Within this program and exploring the participatory possibilities and the concept of shared culture, as well as the theme of the Game –this year’s leit motiv-, Basurama collective wants to go a little further with one of its first proposals and makes an open call for artistic intervention of five emblematic squares of Madrid: Plaza de Santa María Soledad Torres Acosta, Plaza de las Comendadoras, Lavapies, Plaza Tirso de Molina and Dos de Mayo. Those interested, artists, groups and public with no training or background limit can present their projects to intervene, until 6 July. The budget for each of these interventions is of up to 10,000 euros including taxes. A jury will select five projects to be implemented over the summer in collaboration with Basurama and the organization of La noche en blanco. Projects should be sent to [email protected].
