Frinin & Bok: Film Experimental [1]
FOR ONE NIGHT ONLY
Join us for a celebration of the surreal side of cinema! Frinin & Bok specialize in pushing the boundaries of experimental film. Their projects have included shorts, commissioned pieces, music videos and feature films.
On 4th October they are bringing together a selection of like-minded filmmakers to showcase their work.
The night will serve as a great networking event and an appreciation night for all those who love experimental art or just want something a little bit different.
Tickets £8
WE WANT YOU
Alongside Frinin & Bok’s work, we'll be selecting three short films from other filmmakers with an eye for the strange and surreal. Just submit your short film to us and our panel of film lovers will choose three to be screened at the event.
£3 submission fee and the deadline is 30th September. Films should be under 10 minutes long and in some way dark, experimental, surreal or strange. You can apply as many films as you like, but a separate fee is required for each submission.
Please use the paypal link and pay the £3 submisson fee, then send your films and receipt of payment to [email protected] [3].

DIY Space for London [6]
DIY Space for London is a cooperatively-run social centre located in South London, just off Old Kent Road. During the day, we offer low cost creative facilities, meeting rooms and social space, and in the evening we offer space for screenings, talks and performances. Our in-house record shop TOME Records is open Weds – Sun, and Joey’s Kitchen our 100% plant-based cafe serving coffees cakes and lunch is open at the weekend. We run on a members’ club model so that everyone has equal say in how the place is run. DIY Space for London (DSFL) works to promote the ideas of mutual aid (helping each other) and cooperation (working together.)
We began fundraising in 2012 and raised over £20,000 in donations from all around the world. In Spring 2015 we took on a 3,300 sq foot building in SE15 and renovated it to a fully accessible and safe standard thanks to hundreds of hours of volunteer labour. We opened on 14th September 2015.
To attend or put on events, you need to be a member, which costs £2 a year and can be done in a few minutes online [7]. Members have a say in how the club is run, and there are also lots of opportunities to get involved in the day-to-day running of DSFL by joining a collective, where you’ll get a say in how the space runs and receive training in new skills.
