Alternative 2023 is officially open for submissions to the international competition. Alternative Film/Video 2023 will take place from 6-9 December at Students’ City Cultural Center in Belgrade.
The Project Space is a studio workspace for artists working primarily but not exclusively in photography, book art, film, and media art. Each year, a committee of VSW staff and outside artists and curators review applications and select up to 20 artists for 4-week terms.

In the structuralist films in this session, German Werner Nekes and American Paul Sharits each start out from a single resource: panoramic views of the horizon and the double screening of pure colours. This allows them to musically explore the variations of light and colour, expanding the screen and broadening our perception.
This is the third in a series of monthly screenings comprising a complete retrospective of the work of Dominic Angerame. Since 1968 Angerame has produced more than 30 films on 16mm and several newer works in digital format. Some of these films have never had a public screening. Many of Angerame’s films show San Francisco, the city he has lived and worked in since 1979, and its varying cityscape as it looks and changes over time. He has also created short comedies, short-form documentaries and many diary films.
