This evening brings an activation of filmmaker M Woods' Numb Spiral. The Numb Spiral is the ongoing collective practice and manifestation of M Woods' exploration of a digital sickness -- in forms both intimate and global at once. Woods' work is a cross between intense mourning, active resistance, and a cinema of visual praxis.

Cinema Parenthèse and iMAL present the program Gunvor Nelson - Collage Films. Nelson was born in 1931 in Stockholm, but grew up in the small town of Kristinehamn, Sweden. After studying art in Stockholm, she moved to San Francisco in 1953 where she studied and later taught art and film at San Francisco State University (1969–70) and the San Francisco Art Institute (1970–1992).
Witness this collection of wild, weird, transgressive and experimental short films by A new wave of Local underground filmmakers at the seventh NFU group show. It will be a night of new surrealist, expressionist and abstract shorts where you can meet and discover the next David Lynch or Maya Deren.
