VIEOBARDO International Videopoetry Festival - 27 years
Videobardo Archive and International Videopoetry Festival, founded in 1996, opens its call to be part of a new edition of the Festival that will be held in November in Buenos Aires, Argentina, with itinerances to be defined.
On the occasion of the publication of Maya Deren: Choreographed for Camera (2022; St. Lucy Books) San Francisco Cinematheque and Gray Area welcome Deren biographer Mark Alice Durant who will appear in person to discuss this book and present three films by Deren: Meshes of the Afternoon (1943), At Land (1944) and Ritual in Transfigured Time (1946).
For the first time in Italy, a retrospective dedicated entirely to the cinema of Kenji Onishi, one of the most prolific and established authors of the Japanese underground scene. The screenings of each evening will be held in Parma at the venue @borgosantabrigida5a from 19:00 to 21:30, 100 meters from Piazza Garibaldi.
