After last year's big success DELETE TV is again selecting remarkable experimental short films and video art which will be broadcasted on our partner TV-Channel in Austria and several video art platforms in collaboration with the selected artists. Further more, the most eye and mind-bending films will make it to Delete TV Screenings all over Europe.
Undoing The Whole Thing, the kick-off event of The Futurism is Ours, is about breaking down and building back up again. Featuring short work by Barbara Hammer, Miatta Kawinzi, and Joey Carducci, the program reflects on the filmmakers’ experiences working within and against cinematic lineages through their exploration of selfhood, queerness, and alternative social realities.
On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Aldo Tambellini’s legendary Black TV, the multimedia pioneer presents a new installation realized by re-editing hundreds of hours of his experimental mixed-media works in a site-specific Electromedia environment. Born of a complex, stratified experience, in which the images became a further subject in the critical investigation of the American social and political reality, Black TV is a monumental operation of aesthetic synthesis of the Intermedia era.
