On November 16th, Scott MacDonald (A critical cinema) presented the Leo Award for lifetime achievement in documentary filmmaking to William Greaves, for showing "a sustained ability to introduce innovative approaches into the media arts field". The event was held at the Lincoln Center, New York
William Greaves is a leading documentary filmmaker that has been working on the field for more than 50 years. He's a multi-facteted artist that has worked as producer, director, editor, cameraman, actor, dancer, drama teacher and song writer. Publisher Criterion has recently released his films Symbiopsychotaxiplasm Take One and Take 2 1/2.
