Microscope finds itself suddenly having to move from its long-time space in Bushwick, Brooklyn by the end of this month, as circumstances in the building have made it impossible for us to continue our operations here.

We are seeking your help to create a new home that will allow us to continue and expand our programming, especially for our weekly Event Series of time-based arts, which we have been preparing to resume in-person — after more than a year online — as soon as it is safely possible.

Unexpectedly, we have already managed to find a new location near the High Line in Manhattan. And, with your support we hope to quickly transform the space to be able to house our 10 1/2 year-long Event Series, which has very special equipment and space requirements. Over the years, in addition to exhibitions, we have presented nearly 600 events through the series including screenings of all formats (film, analog & digital video, etc.), music and experimental sound nights, performance art, expanded cinema, poetry, artist talks, and more.

Contributions of any amount are welcome now more than ever and will go a long way. Special perks are available for each contribution level provided by artists Peggy Ahwesh, Lea Bertucci, Ben Coonley, Bradley Eros, Marni Kotak, Le’Andra LeSeur, Jonas Mekas / Spector Books, Zach Nader, Kamron Saniee, and Ray Sweeten. Please know that a portion of your donation will benefit these artists as well!

We are very excited about this new chapter for Microscope and hope that you will help us make this transition possible!
