Women's Film Preservation Grant Submissions Open

The Women's Film Preservation Fund (WFPF), a project of New York Women in Film & Television (NYWIFT) announces the opening of submissions for film PRESERVATION grants for this year. 

The deadline is June 1, 2016.

Films made by American women or films made by women from other countries only if they were made in the USA are eligible.. 

PRESERVATION grants are awarded to films of all genres including: experimental, animation, narrative, documentary, among others.  (Please note that this is a preservation grant for an existing film in need of preservation, not a production grant.)

Individual filmmakers and institutions are eligible to apply.

Grants of up to $10,000 are awarded for film to film preservations.  Films with preservation budgets significantly higher than $10,000 are asked to secure a major amount of their funding elsewhere before applying to for a WFPF grant.
