Poltergeist exhibition curated by Enzo Cillo and Ignazio Fabio Mazzola

The project stems from a reflection on the possibility of identifying new projection sites, in which space becomes an integral part of the image itself, a prolongation of the vision. So the idea is to get out of the darkness of the movie theater and look for a place in the everyday that allows you to put in contact with matter and light. Projecting on a wall means giving materiality to the image, which stands out on the wall up to creep through the cracks, to cross the material. The wall is "canvas" and at the same time "sculpture"; it is possible to see a dialogue between two visions, two screens aligned on the same axis, like two signs. From here starts the reflection on the body of vision, on the presence of the image within a concrete space (place of projection) and on the relationship between these different entities. What unites our work is the obsessive search for an image field never found before, a poltergeist.

"Images in which, in a cascade, in a twinkling, in an extreme tingling, everything remains ambiguous and, although it is too conspicuous, it escapes a definitive determination, in which, although in a joy only limited to the field of vision, we feel exposed to angry trills, excruciating whistles, grotesque cacophonies, delirious and almost angry scales too. "
(Henri Michaux, To Draw the flow of time, 1957)
