  • Novembre expérimental #4: Film dances

    By on

Cinédoc Paris Films Coop is delighted to present Novembre expérimental #4: Film dances. This year's program is devoted to "film dances", a particularly prolific field of innovation in cinematic forms from the historical avant-gardes to experimental cinema, with a host of films that have historically contributed to renewing the genre. True to our policy of combining contemporary creation, film history and research, the event features five exceptional screenings at the Reflet Médicis and Grand Action, with two tributes to filmmakers Ed Emshwiller and Pascal Baes (in his presence). An international symposium will also be held over two days, at the Université Paris 8 Vincennes Saint-Denis and at the Institut National d'Histoire de l'Art. The closing event at the Consulat Voltaire will feature a program of screenings, as well as two dance and film performances by Compagnie DCA / Philippe Decouflé and the Braquage association. The evening will also feature a "Bal blanc" in homage to Man Ray, in which the dancing public will act as the screen, and an original interactive installation by artist Noé Balthazard.
