The Moving Image Salon is a monthly gathering in London for artists working in the fields of moving image and experimental filmmaking. It is intended as a relaxed and open space for conversation and exchange about contemporary moving image practices, a networking event and critical forum.

This session will begin with a short introduction by Moving Image Salon’s Daniel & Clara, followed by a presentation of work by this month’s featured guest Susu Laroche.

“Chaos Rule Us is an anagram of the artist’s birth name Susu Laroche. She is a multi-disciplinary artist working with analogue 35mm, 16mm and sound from her studio in London. Her work has been exhibited at galleries and festivals internationally (ICA, Samawah Iraq, Nihilist Film Festival). On Halloween in 2017, she released her own interpretation of the tarot deck with purge.xxx, along-side a survey of her films at Close-Up Film Centre.”

The second half of the Moving Image Salon is an open platform for artists to introduce themselves and their work and engage in discussion about contemporary moving image practices. If you are an artist wishing to present something please arrive early to sign up, spaces for presenting will be limited. Please bring videos on a USB drive, maximum runtime 10 mins.

All Moving Image Salon events are free but booking is essential.
