Chris H. Lynn and Una Lee's Miniature Landscape Correspondence will be part of the Unheard Voices Program at the ATM: 2020 Megaphone festival in Seoul. The festival will take place in the Oil Tank Culture Park from 10/15-/10/18 2020

Miniature Landscape Correspondences I & II〉 is an on-going audiovisual collaboration between Una Lee (South Korea/UK) and Chris H. Lynn (USA) since 2013. Each correspondence or observation is composed of two shots, one from each continent, each series consisting of 10 correspondences. These unassuming landscape moments are coupled with a steady visual rhythm to reflect the direct experience of the everyday. Every correspondence exhibits a unique relationship between the two shots, which can be either a call/response, a counterpoint or a harmony.

These audiovisual works highlight beauty found in observation of seemingly mundane everyday sceneries that often go unnoticed within nature, quotidian urbanity, and interactions between humans and their surroundings. They emphasise on the delivery of untouched situations with bare sound and visual that result in a direct communication between the land/soundscape and the audience that happens virtually. Although the works seem to foreground the visual access to the scene at first sight, they project the natural, invisible soundscape beyond the landscape that is shown, which conveys the meta-presence of the sound in our daily life.
