We are pleased to launch our newest project CineHambre, a virtual cinema room that aims to promote affirmative and vitalist contagion through images in the midst of the ongoing pandemic. In this opening session we will present the feature film "ANTONIN ARTAUD'S THEATRE AND THE PLAGUE" produced by the renowned Taanteatro Company and directed by Wolfgang Pannek
After a few brief introductory words from its director, we will stream the film, and then open a conversation between Wolfgang Pannek, the collaborating artists of the film Maura Baiocchi, Candelaria Silvestro and Théophile Choquet and Sebastian Wiedemann, curator and editor of Hambre | espacio cine experimental.

ABOUT THE FILM:
Antonin Artaud’s The Theatre and the Plague is a cinematic reading of the homonymous essay by the French poet Antonin Artaud (1896-1948) in times of the coronavirus pandemic. The project, directed by Wolfgang Pannek, co-director of Taanteatro Companhia (São Paulo, Brazil), has the collaboration of artists (dancers, actors, writers, painters) and academics from five continents.
