Angular opens its first international submission for a DVD edition with a selection of works created by filmmakers and video artists from around the world. Entries, in any production format, should not exceed 20 minutes, and they must have been completed after January 2011. Deadline for submissions ends November 1st, 2013. Each volume of the collection will be available for sale on this website, and the DVD will be released in the first months of 2014.

Angular is an independent and self-financed spanish DVD publisher, dedicated to the dissemination of current international experimental film and artists' video. Each volume will include a printed booklet with analytical texts on the works selected and also critical essays, written by specialists and programmers. The first issue in the series will be released in the first quarter of 2014, and its distribution will be online through this website, at least at its early stage. Periodicity of the volumes will depend on the trajectory of the project.

Those interested in participating should write to [email protected] with the subject "Submission", including the following documents:

1. Text file or pdf specifying the title of the work, synopsis, technical details, author's name, biography and contact e-mail.

2. Two frames in jpg or tiff, with the best resolution possible.

3. Link to Vimeo (with or without a password) or a h264 compressed .mov file sent through WeTransfer in order to watch your work.

All works submitted, regardless of their inclusion on the DVD, will become part of Angular's archive, to be potentially published in the future, with the author's previous consent. Angular reserves the right to publish online the frames received in the registration process. Participation implies the acceptance of all terms and conditions.

Those selected will be contacted early 2014.
