    In this exhibition, Eye presents the work of three recent winners of the Eye Art & Film Prize: Meriem Bennani (2019), Kahlil Joseph (2020) and the Karrabing Film Collective (2021). The prize is awarded to makers who bring together art and film in an innovative, inspiring and highly artistic way. What is notable about the work of the three winning artists is their committed engagement with the world and the way they effortlessly cross the boundaries between cinema, documentary and visual art.

  • No Master Territories: Feminist Worldmaking and the Moving Image

    At a time when feminism is enjoying a mainstream resurgence but must be reclaimed from a neoliberal emphasis on individual success, and when the hybridization of documentary and artists’ film occupies a vital place in the landscape of contemporary practices, the exhibition No Master Territories makes a strategic return to the past. By revisiting the period of the 1970s to 1990s, it aims both to pay homage to the important work that has come before and to respond to the urgencies of the present.

  • Klonaris/Thomadaki: Bodies in revolt

    The first retrospective in Italy dedicated to the artistic duo Maria Klonaris and Katerina Thomadaki, with a selection of works from the 1970s to the present day that restores the essence of their research.

    The porosity of the boundaries between bodies, genders, arts, media; the reinterpretation of the cinematographic image as a space of relation; the moving image as a field of political resistance, a device for constructing a free and radical subjectivity.

    Throughout the Berlin Art Week the Tor218 Artlab gallery will be our base. The gallery is also home of the legendary Melody Nelson Bar, making it a true Lounge space and the perfect meeting point for any art and/or cocktail lover.

  • Jeanne Liotta: The World is a Picture of the World

    Microscope Gallery is very pleased to present The World is a Picture of the World, the second solo exhibition at the gallery by Jeanne Liotta, featuring a new body of work incorporating drawing, collage, photography and projection that are inspired by and often include among their materials 20th Century NASA 35mm slides of the universe that were frequently offered in planetarium and other similar gift shops.
