Atelier 105 is intended for short-, medium- or feature-length projects, which have completed shooting or are still in the production phase, and which are made with or without the backing of an independent production company. • Alchemy Film and Moving Image Festival 2017 Call for Entries

    By on

Submissions are now open for Alchemy Film and Moving Image Festival's seventh edition, to be held 2 - 5 March 2017. The submission deadline is 30th October 2016. We welcome submissions of experimental film and artists’ moving image in any format - short or feature length films, live cinema, installations or curated film programmes.

Alchemy Film and Moving Image Festival is an international festival of experimental film and artists’ moving image. Submissions of artists’ and experimental film from any part of the world are welcome – we celebrate a diverse range of works: the visually experimental, quietly poetic, formally radical, psycho-geographical, politically activist, culturally subversive, psycho-spiritual, the alchemically volatile, the underground and bizarre. Conventional or commercial-style narrative dramas, animations and  documentaries are less likely likely to be successful – unless they are truly original in form and content.

  • PFDEC 2016: Call for entries for filmmakers under 15 years old

    By on

If you are younger than 15 years old and you have already made or wish to make a film, the Collectif Jeune Cinéma gives you the opportunity to participate in an international experimental film festival. The films submitted must be at least one minute long, up to less than one hour. There is no imposed theme and you are not obliged to tell a story. A sensation, an impression, images that you find beautiful or interesting, your desire to try a specific kind of editing or to narrate in your own way without fearing imperfection or failures of the sound and image, a game with shapes that inspire you: all of these are some of the multiple possibilities to start to make your own film.

  • Moscow Experimental Film Festival 2016 Call for entries

    By on

Our 1st Moscow Experimental Film Festival is the first in its kind in Russia – which gives an excellent opportunity for both Russian artists and filmmakers together with talent from around the world to showcase their work side by side, reaching this minor approach in seeing things differently in film out to a wider audience in our country.

MEFF is launched for the first time by a strong ambition to create a festival that fully devotes itself to a well-deserved and close up look at a wide range of experimental categories. This guarantees exclusive and thorough attention to talents that might have previously been overlooked by the vast number of conventional filmmaking festivals that only spare a small corner for experimental categories within their programmes, as well as to the works that are lost online in the vast variety of content nowadays.
