    Berwick Visual Arts and Berwick Film & Media Arts Festival are pleased to announce that applications are now open for our annual artist's residency. The residency is for a six-month period beginning in April 2017 and is an opportunity for an artist with a moving image-based practice to create a new work to be premiered at Berwick Film & Media Arts Festival between 20th and 24th September 2017.

    The curatorial team of aCinema welcomes you to submit your work to aDifferent Festival! aDifferent Festival is a series of programs showcasing short works of media art over two days in late February.  All genres and media including video, installation, new media performance, and film are welcome. We are looking for works under 20 minutes and made after 2014, but contact us via email ([email protected]) if you have a piece that falls outside of these parameters that you feel we should consider.

    Underneath the Floorboards is an experimental film festival held in London buzzing artistic area of Hackney where everything that is non-linear and not of a traditional narrative sense will be considered.

    No bias, no prejudice if you didn't study in the most prestigious art schools, we don't care, we just want to see work that is of an artistic nature and that creates an interesting language of its own.

    Retro-exotic Videodanse is a new dance video event in Montréal curated by Kim-Sanh Châu and Guillaume Vallée, presented by Studio 303. This event will take place at Studio 303 as part of Nuit Blanche Montréal.

    We are looking for short dance videos dealing with the concepts of time and space, in a short format. Invite us on a journey of escape!

    Brand New Blinkers is a London based short film night. No categories, only quality moving image. We screen a diverse collection of films without boundaries. Come and see.
    We’re geared towards the odd, DIY, experimental, strange, but our rule is that there are no rules, so who knows? If you think your film doesn’t quite sit in a category or genre neatly, then perhaps it is perfect for Brand New Blinkers.

    MECONIO (Muestra de Nuevos Cineastas) launches its first open call to any kind of proposals that challenge the language and principles of conventional cinema, regardless of their format, genre or country of origin. We are looking for works that share a passion for the exploration of new ways of making cinema and a desire to question its own boundaries. Meconio is a non-competitive space for new films that aims to give visibility to the selected works through its exhibition. We accept works from authors under 35 from any country.

    to travel America self sustainably out of the back of a car, sharing innovative films in some of the most inspirational places in the United States.

    Combining the love for nature and outdoor cinema, OTFF will be screening works in national parks and rural areas around the U.S. Films will be exploring themes of movement, nomadic living, adventure and the natural world.
