Submissions for the 2018 Alchemy Film Festival (3-7 May 2018) are open!

Alchemy Film and Moving Image Festival is an international festival of experimental film and artists’ moving image. Submissions of artists’ and experimental film from any part of the world are welcome – we celebrate a diverse range of works: the visually experimental, quietly poetic, formally radical, psycho-geographical, politically activist, culturally subversive, psycho-spiritual, the alchemically volatile, the underground and bizarre. Conventional or commercial-style narrative dramas, animations and documentaries are less likely likely to be successful – unless they are truly original in form and content.

In January 2018, CHITCHAT will take a program of films from Colorado through Texas to Mexico. The tour starts in Colorado and travels through Texas and Mexico. Cities/Regions include Denver, Austin, San Antonio, Mexico City, Guadalajara, Oaxaca and Monterrey. 

Now it its 4th year, San Diego Underground Film Festival (SDUFF) is San Diego's premier showcase of experimentation in video, film, and audio based mediums. A strong DIY ethos, combined with an art school brain and a punk rock heart makes the San Diego Underground Film Festival a unique place for films, videos, and audio pieces that strive to push the boundaries of accepted form and content. Films and videos that dissent radically in form or technique will be our priority in selections.
