This approach allows to pay exclusive and thorough attention to the talents that might have previously been overlooked by the vast number of conventional film festivals which only spare a small corner for experimental categories within their programmes.

  • Fracto 2018 Call for Submissions

    "The apparatus as an eccentric performer within the film.”

    FRACTO festival seeks to reflect upon the techno-attitude that directs film towards the demands of its apparatus, constantly floating as a supreme and fragmented perceptual eye. In this configuration perceptual contingency is ultimately conceived as a totalizing, post-organic point of view—seemingly seeking primarily itself—instead of folding in on specific meanings conveyed by a clear distance from medium.

  • EIVV International Meeting on Videodance and Videoperformance, call for works

    The EIVV (Encontre Internacional de Videodansa i Videoperformance) is held annually in the city of Valencia (Spain), and includes a festival with artist presentations, panel discussions, debates with the audience and academic papers. The Meeting is open to works of videodance/screendance, video-performance and video-art that uses corporal expression or choreographic techniques

    For the 5th Meeting (2018), the theme is EVOLUTION: the general and historical evolution of screendance, and the personal evolution of artists.

  • 20th edition of the Paris Festival of Different & Experimental Cinemas

    Call out for films and videos submissions for the upcoming 20th edition of Paris Festival for Different and Experimental Cinemas (October 2018). The festival is organised by Collectif Jeune Cinéma every year. CJC - Collectif Jeune Cinéma - was founded in 1971 following the New York Filmmakers's Cooperative footsteps. CJC is a cooperative for distribution with the aim to promote visual and cinematic experimental practices. Along with the organising of regular montly screenings, CJC is also the organiser of the Paris Festival for Different and Experimental Cinéma.
