19th Annual $100 Film Festival March 3-5, 2011

The Calgary Society of Independent Filmmakers presents:
The 19th Annual $100 Film Festival
March 3-5, 2011
The Plaza Theatre (1133 Kensington Rd. NW)

An international, three-day celebration of the Art of Film. Screening exclusively on Super 8 and 16mm film, this is an eclectic festival of the unexpected; it features independent films that you will not see anywhere else! Experience the magic of cinema with short film screenings, live music & film performances, and parties at Calgary's longest running film festival.

This year's festival features visiting artist Alexandre Larose (Montreal). Larose will showcase several of his recent films during the Friday night program, then hold an artist talk that details his hands-on process, camera modifications, optical printing and more. Larose will also teach an advanced optical printing workshop on Saturday March 5. We will also celebrate another year of fantastic films on Saturday evening at our wrap party (starts at 9pm, licensed event - so 18+ only) and awards ceremony.
