The 5th edition of the Marseille Underground Film & Music Festival will take place from April 19 to 23, 2023. The whole team is elated to share with you its latest harvest: a great deal of music, films & other variations, unfolding in thematic cycles, retrospectives, international shorts programmes, skin flicks, concerts and workshops, discussions... for the eyes, the ears & the hearts.

Also, our call for films 2023 is finally open!

At MUFF, we have a particular tenderness for aesthetics that are genre-defying, adventurous, contentious, poetic, fairy-tale, pornographic, ridiculous... We favor independently produced films that shift the gaze and reveal new languages without hierarchy or prejudice.Only music videos, standard fictions, television documentaries and animated films for children are not considered.

Our competition is generally conceived in two programs that will be shown twice for free to the festival audience. At the end of each screening, the films are submitted to the vote of the audience. At the end of the festival, an audience award - a symbolic distinction, but neither a trophy nor a check - is given to the favorite film in each program.
