For issue no. 6 of Missing Observer Studies we have a special interview with George Griffin, a focus on his short film "Block Print" (1977), and an essay/ introduction by Huner Francis/ MOS co-runner Micah Weber.

GG interview excerpt: 'I've been ruminating on many films made so long ago, especially those which seemed to have no audience feedback, even from those who opted to stay with Block Print's 17 silent minutes in an auditorium at the Ann Arbor Film Festival. It was reported that one person yelled out, "There's a cat!" while another demanded, "Make his mother watch this film!," and at the end there were equal amounts of cheers and boos. All seemed like a generous response.'
