In this month's issue of Missing Observer Studies, Huner Francis is very excited to present a previously unpublished version of "Death of Place" by Dirk de Bruyn.

This "annotated" version (2018) is accompanied by an opening note from de Bruyn, a thoughtful response from his son, and an introduction + interview by Micah Weber/MOS.

Dirk de Bruyn has been making fiercely independent films for over 35 years. He is a frequent contributor to Senses of Cinema and teaches at Deakin University in Melbourne. __________ Missing Observer Studies is a time focused online cinema/journal/diary dedicated to the elongation, suspension, and untimeliness of time.
