Cinéma Fragile (Katia Viscogliosi & Francis Magnenot) creates experimental and poetic films. They find the images that they didn’t shoot for the purpose of a specific film fascinating, because you can look at them for what they "really" are, not for what they were done for. That's why they love to work with found footage, internet archive, etc. Nouveau Noum was entirely made this way. It’s a poetic retrospective of the lunatic and unbelievable Sovietic nuclear activity in the Arctic zone in the 80's. The film is a search of a cinematographic sensorial experience. When they performed it live with Saint Octobre some people fainted during the show…

We'll start the matinée with three short video art films from the Italian visual artist Francesca Lai. Francesca was first influenced by the metapysis of orodox iconography, where objects become like treasure chests containing and transmitting higher values. Later she used more video and installations to get work across, with a more experimental approach.
