For three days in July, a unique festival dedicated to new experimental cinema will be held in Jerusalem. 'Horn' aims to bring exposure to convention-defying films. We are searching for inspiring and innovative films of different cinematic forms (documentary, narrative, animation, video art) that disregard common methods of film making.

Prizes will be awarded to three selected films.

If you have a film, long or short, that fits this description, send it along with a brief text of up to 100 words to: [email protected]

Submissions must be sent as a link or via WeTransfer.

Organizers?

Is there any website, facebook, blog or other reference that can give us more information on the people behind the festival? Organizers, curators, jury, etc? Can't seem to find anything on the festival by doing a google search. Will contact them via e-mail tho, but I think the basic info is important for us who are looking for getting our work out there.

Cheers,

Hello, Alexandre

Hello, Alexandre

The festival's website is just a few days old and was just sent to us. This is the url: https://hornfestival.wordpress.com/

In the words of the organizers: "'Horn'- is a first of it's kind in our region, no other film festival is dedicated only for experimental films. This summer is the first time the festival will be held, the website is being made at the moment and we are not interested in opening a facebook page for now. The festival is funded by 'Musrara' a school for high arts in jerusalem, and it will be held in the schools beautiful garden. We hope to expose many intersting and inspiring artists working to break the rules of traditional cinema."

Hey Marcos,Thank you so much

Hey Marcos,

Thank you so much for the response. I see, so it seems the festival is connected to the Musrara school. I'll try to contact them via e-mail.
